Why enter the 2025 CPRE Bedfordshire Living Countryside Awards?

CPRE Bedfordshire’s Living Countryside Awards have been running for 17 years. They celebrate the people and projects making a difference across the county. The awards put the spotlight on volunteering and community action, projects that are good news for nature, and local producers.

We know it takes time to put together an application and so here we highlight some of the benefits of taking part.

Inspiring

The Living Countryside Awards are:

  • A chance to showcase your project to potential volunteers, supporters or customers.
  • An opportunity for recognition of existing volunteers and / or staff.
  • A way to inspire others to set up their own local projects.

CPRE Bedfordshire will…

  • Celebrate the winners and shortlisted entrants on our website and social media channels, creating posts that you can share with your supporters.
  • Follow through after the awards with project updates and features on our website.
  • Present the winners with their award on site where possible.

Bedfordshire Choice Award

This award goes to the project that best promotes a living and thriving countryside as chosen by the people of Bedfordshire. Encouraging your supporters to vote is a really simple way to give them a chance to get involved and feel like they are making a difference. It also gives them a reason to shout about the great work your project is doing by social media or word of mouth.

Don’t just take our word for it!

Previous winners tell us that they really appreciate the recognition for their hard work. They also find that their awards give them confidence not only to carry on, but also to begin to try some new things and start new projects.

'It was exciting to get the award and we were so proud to tell the village about it and received kind comments.'
