Photo competition 2017 winner announced!

CPRE Bedfordshire is delighted to announce the winners of its photo competition. The competition was run to mark the charity’s 30th anniversary, during which time it has worked to promote and protect the countryside of Bedfordshire.

CPRE Bedfordshire is strongly opposed to Covanta gaining an environment permit to incinerate non-hazardous waste at its planned facility at Rookery South, Stewartby, and our response to the Environment Agency's consultation on its draft permit decision can be downloaded here.

People across Bedfordshire have been picking up their cameras and capturing the change in Bedfordshire's landscapes for our photo competition.

CPRE Bedfordshire has learned from a Freedom of Information request that 60% of the planned new homes that Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) claims it needs are for people moving into Central Bedfordshire from elsewhere, rather than local need.

CPRE Bedfordshire has published its full and detailed response to Central Bedfordshire Council’s (CBC) Draft Local Plan 2035 consultation, which can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.
