Which people and projects are making a difference to the environment in Bedfordshire?

CPRE Bedfordshire is looking for entries for its 2016 Living Countryside Awards, to recognise the people and projects that are improving the county’s biodiversity, landscape, building design and local sustainability. Enter now!

People from across the county gathered at the beautiful setting of John O'Gaunt Golf Club last night, to recognise and celebrate the people and projects making a positive difference to Bedfordshire's environment and countryside. The Awards were presented by HM Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, Helen Nellis, on Tuesday 4th October 2016.

In his opening words, CPRE Bedfordshire’s chair Gerry Sansom paid tribute to the hundreds of dedicated volunteers that are active across Bedfordshire working to enhance and safeguard our countryside and greenspaces.

Does your school run projects to connect children to nature, improve the school grounds for wildlife or benefit your local environment?

We are seeking entries for our 2016 Living Countryside Awards, and this year we have added a new category for Schools and Youth Groups.

Join us for the CPRE Bedfordshire Living Countryside Awards 2016

The evening is a celebration of the great work that people are doing to benefit our environment in Bedfordshire. As well as the presentation of the awards, the evening will include a showcase of the shortlisted entries.
